G-STAR is currently looking for a Merchandise Planner Online. The role will be based at our Valencia office and will report directly to the Merchandise Planning Manager.
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand the customer needs from our online customers and strategic accounts and use this information to make considered commercial decisions on product level that positively impacts profitability and reduces discounts in combination with other channels by working closely with our wholesale team, global merchandising, allocation team, and marketing team.
Be a reliable business partner for our online strategic accounts/own .com team. Actively manage and execute pre-season planning and trade in-season performance in close cooperation with our partners.
Translate the overall merchandising strategy to assortment strategy to determine the right product mix for our online, focusing and analyzing the right width vs breadth of the collection, maintaining a close eye on the product mix and developing specialized collections and exclusives.
Cater and leverage the assortment strategy to positively impact profitability between our wholesale and partner program assortments.
Monitor the critical path (time to get online) for each phase in conjunction with the E-commerce trading team, our marketing team, and global merchandise and allocation team for our assortment.
Monitor the on-time delivery performance, ensuring that deadlines are met and potential problems are identified at line level. Clearly communicate to management the impact on launch position.
Monitor and analyze returns to identify any risks on profit in close cooperation with our E-commerce commercial team.
Constantly review performance to identify and potentialize emerging trends to avoid missed opportunities, closely cooperating with our online accounts, and contributing to our weekly trading meetings.
Forecast on a monthly level on relevant KPIs such as sales and stock creating alignment with our online accounts and our internal commercial teams.
Be responsible for planning promotional activities on the line level to support maximum sell-out in close alignment with our marketing team to ensure our promotional activities receive maximum exposure on the platforms of our online accounts.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.),
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a merchandise planner in an E-commerce environment, with a specific focus on account management,
Excellent skills in Excel and Tableau (reporting and handling big data amounts, executing pivots and other analysis)
Excellent E-commerce math and analytical skills with a strong link to translate to product,
Experience working with senior leadership, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships across the business,
Experience working with online accounts (account management),
Strong analytical mindset,
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions,
Show innovation by challenging existing processes and practices to drive the business forward,
Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal in English (Dutch is a plus)!
