POSITION PURPOSE: Assists in the coordination of the day-to-day activity of the meeting and event management team. Assists in all record keeping and administration, attends departmental meetings and hotel meetings when required. Responsible for augmenting hotel and departmental recognition and reputation by providing exceptional customer service for guests, visitors, and callers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Assists the Meeting and Event Management Department with daily tasks including contracts, event orders, proposals, and checking space availability for meetings booked within 7 days.Preparation and distribution of Banquet Events Orders, resumes, and daily event postings.Administrative duties including filing, typing, faxing, report generating, and data entry.Responding to clients' requests.SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand in Spanish and English (knowledge of any other language will be valued).Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.Must possess basic computational ability.Must have excellent interpersonal and sales-related skills.Must have exceptional organizational skills.Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.Knowledge of room setup standards.EXPERIENCE:Prior experience as Meeting Concierge, Receptionist, Guest Relations, or similar.Prior hospitality experience preferred.Previous experience in Catering, Convention Services, or Sales & Marketing preferred.
