This is a unique opportunity to gain experience and learn at Sysmex. The selected candidate will be based in our Barcelona office and will provide support to our Life Sciencedepartment in the Iberia region.
This person will be responsible for a variety of tasks: Scientific and Technical Support Provide scientific and technical support internally and effectively transmit this information to customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).Manage the scientific approach of Sysmex Life Science products in coordination with Business Sector Managers (BSMs), Medical Affairs specialists, and the Marketing Manager, with the goal of meeting customer needs more effectively than competitors while ensuring optimal profitability, in line with company policies and objectives. Scientific Knowledge and Analysis Conduct internal analysis and review of clinical evidence and guidelines relevant to the Life Science business unit.Stay up to date with the latest clinical guidelines and scientific evidence related to Life Science.Transform clinical information into useful formats for both the sales team and customers.Serve as the subject matter expert in the scientific area, acting as the reference person for scientific inquiries. Sales and Customer Support Maintain customer contact in collaboration with BSMs and Field Service Representatives (FSRs).Support the sales network during scientific sessions and clinical studies.Provide field support to the sales team and application specialists regarding clinical inquiries.Assist the Business Sector Managern in scientific promotional activities, including congresses and publicity. Scientific Communication and Presentations Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to physicians, either individually or in groups (e.g., clinical sessions, congresses).Produce and update scientific presentations based on new clinical evidence for internal and external use.Facilitate effective communication with BSM and Marketing Manager (MM). Clinical Studies and Research Support Plan, implement, and finalize the execution of clinical studies together with customers to generate clinical value for Life Science products, useful for marketing purposes.Plan internal studies with MM and BSM, aligning with Life Science strategy.Draft study protocols based on meetings with investigators.Support investigators with IRB/IEC procedures, including protocols, contracts, and kick-off letters.Oversee recruitment and data monitoring, including database management, queries, and status newsletters.Lead the transformation of data into publishable scientific papers, acting as the reference person for Statisticians/Medical Writers, customers, and investigators.Monitor and support investigators during the submission process to ensure publication. What you need to be successful: Bachelor's and/or master's degree in science (biology, biomedicine or similar).Master's degree in clinical studies.Experience: ideally 1 year in medical department, ideally 2+ years in similar position (Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Research Associate or similar)Informatics: MS Office, Excel, database, CRM.Languages: fluent in English and Spanish.
