We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Medical Advisor to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the Medical Director and be a member of the Medical Affairs team.
The core responsibility of the Senior Medical Advisor is to provide high-quality scientific and clinical support to medico-marketing activities and to the field-based teams (where appropriate) to support the Iberia Regional Commercial Unit (RCU). You will also build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders as well as help manage any clinical research conducted or supported by Norgine.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Support the Medical Director in carrying out the day-to-day operational activities of the Medical Department.Coordinate the Iberia Medical Team involved in Medical Affairs activities related to mature, new products and new launches in Spain and Portugal.Review and sign-off promotional and non-promotional material to ensure compliance with the Codes of Practice.Provide input to Iberia Medical Director projects as agreed from time to time on a defined basis.Work to ensure compliance in all Norgine Spain & Portugal procedures including GxP, Codes of Practice, and medicines legislation.Support medical affairs projects and activities in Spain & Portugal.Maintain high standards of technical proficiency.Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, patient organisations and professional groups.Coordinate with the other Iberia Medical team involved in Medical Affairs the Medical Plans.Management of local Medical Affairs Team (Spain & Portugal).Responsible for day-to-day management activities of all Iberia Medical Affairs team.Ensure that all listed tasks are fulfilled by Medical Affairs Team in a compliant and credible manner.Agree on objectives for Medical Affairs Team and monitor the results.Set employee performance objectives, conduct performance reviews, and recommend pay actions with the Medical Director's agreement.Coordinate the Iberia Medical Team involved in Medical Affairs activities related to mature, new products and new launches in Spain and Portugal aligning with the Norgine Iberia needs.Be the reference person in new product launches in Spain and Portugal, developing a project plan in each.Act as the Iberia responsible person from Norgine BV in New Products.Coordinate Medical Affairs team in order to give scientific support about Norgine's products for Iberia in such a way that medical questions can be dealt with promptly, accurately and in line with local procedures and legal requirements.Support the development of medical affairs projects & publications plans.Develop the Products Medical Plans with the Medical Affairs Team.Act as the Medical Representative in the Spain and Portugal Commercial teams (MVM).Coordinate and provide support to marketing advising as to the medical and scientific pertinence of promotional claims and campaigns.Manage the Medical Products Budget according to the Medical Director's agreement.Proactively identify with other Iberia Medical Team needs for promotional material and strategic activities after discussion with marketing colleagues.Manage the IISs proposals giving feedback to the Medical Director and managing the process approval and follow-up.Keep up-to-date with all medical publications and studies that might be of interest to the Iberia's company and inform the rest of the management team.Ensure that all activities are compliant with applicable Codes of Practice relating to the promotion of medicines; provision of information to patients and the public and relationships with patient groups.Responsible for the review and approval of material under applicable Codes of Practice Act as single signatory.Be the Medical Director backup in the copy approval processes.EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS: Establish and develop strong relationships with key external customers including KOLs/ professional groups in relevant therapeutic area, in order to gain insights to support sound decision making and brand strategy development.Identify opportunities for collaborative work, such as research, guideline development, meeting presentations etc.Provide accurate and non-promotional scientific information relating to licensed and unlicensed products and indications following unsolicited requests from HCPs.Develop relationships with patient groups and third-party organisations to facilitate the exchange of scientific and clinical information around Norgine products and raise awareness of relevant disease areas.PHARMACOVIGILANCE: Report all AEs promptly and accurately to Iberia PV responsible for processing in accordance with local regulations and Norgine SOPs.Manage SmPc/PILs updating communication in the Iberia Medical Team.TRAINING: Provision of training services for Norgine partners in the Commercial Unit & MSLs.Support sales meetings by researching, preparing, and giving presentations about new medical indications and updates on product information.Research, construct and write scientific materials to support the sales force.Local approval of training material prior to use.Validate the medical and scientific content of all training materials.TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of disease areas and their management of relevant company products.Ensure the junior Iberia Medical Affairs Team are developed and maintain in-depth knowledge of company's products and therapeutic area.Attend relevant training courses, and apply to daily tasks using agreed action plans, coaching and knowledge.RELATIONSHIPS: Close collaboration with other members of the medical department involved with Iberia Medical Affairs activities.Collaboration with the relevant Commercial Unit functions/ personnel.Close collaboration with other medical personnel in Global medical.Close collaboration with Norgine Business Development and Regulatory personnel.External stakeholders: including regulatory bodies, patients and patients' organisations.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medically qualified with license to practice (Registered Physician) is preferred.Medical Affairs experience- Ideally in relevant therapeutic area and including customer-facing experience.Experience in Team Coordination.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English, ideally Portuguese as well.Knowledge of local legislation guidelines (Spain) covering medical activities is preferable.Training in applicable Codes of Practice.Good interpersonal skills to work as Coordinator and member of the Iberia Management Team.Coordinate effectively the Medical Affairs Team, respond positively to requests, engage in teamwork activities and objectives.Our benefits may vary per location.
