Job Description: Dow Jones Global Real Estate & Facilities builds, maintains and administers a portfolio of versatile, efficient workplaces for Dow Jones businesses across the globe.
Based in London or Barcelona, the Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our two dozen offices across the EMEA region.
He or she will aid in searches for new office space and in construction projects to fit out those spaces.
The Senior Manager will establish and maintain relationships with building managers and service vendors, ensuring high levels of service for our offices, and with the employees working in those offices, so we can learn of problems and solve them.Application should include resume, cover letter and contact information for two references.Role and Responsibilities: Work as part of the global GREF team, reporting to Senior Vice President, GREF, who is based in New York.Regularly review EMEA real estate portfolio to ensure offices meet our needs in various cities, in terms of location, size and layout.Participate in projects to acquire new office space, including work with reps of the business to understand their needs, site searches, aid in elements of office design, aid in creation of RFPs and contractor selection, assist with construction administration for office fit-out projects, gather project costs for the Manager of Project Planning, work with the Relocation Manager during staff and office moves, reinstatement and handover of old offices, when applicable.Administer health and safety requirements across EMEA offices, working with service providers, internal stakeholders and the Global Security department.Ensure appropriate service levels for Dow Jones EMEA offices.
Manage service providers.
Set up compliant health and safety policies and practices as required.Gather information for corporate insurance requirements.
Work with office managers across EMEA to fulfill office needs.Supervise the office managers and receptionists for various EMEA offices.Provide budget input on occupancy costs and capital projects, as required.Requirements: Facilities management experience and ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is a must.Experience with health and safety administration is required.The role involves travel across the region, sometimes at short notice.
