Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electronic or Mechatronics Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to managing projects, ensuring the CE certification of equipment, overseeing PLC programming, preparing documentation, coordinating product installation, and maintaining high-quality standards.
This role requires flexibility and adaptability, including some travel, to support the implementation and maintenance of our innovative recycling technologies.
Responsibilities Mechatronic System Design – technical lead: Integrate mechanical systems with electronics, sensors and control systems for actuator operation; develop and program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for automation and control; robotics integration into equipment.
Electric system Design – technical lead : Define power requirements according to load analyses; design electrical feeding systems, including cable layouts and connection schemes; prepare bills of materials for electrical cabinets and components; and troubleshoot electrical systems and implement new connections.
Cross-functional collaboration for Equipment design : Coordinate integration with other technical leads such as Mechanical Systems, Software and Health and Safety to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Prototyping and Testing : Build, test, and refine prototypes to validate design concepts and ensure performance standards are met.
Design for manufacturing : Ensure design allows reliable, quick and cheap manufacturing.
Quality Assurance : Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and safety of equipment.
Documentation : Prepare technical drawings, specifications, test reports, and operational manuals for designs.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to align designs with project goals and timelines.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency, precision, and scalability.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronic engineering, Electrical Engineering, or experience to ensure equivalent knowledge and skills in those areas.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in design and development of automated industrial systems, including Mechatronics Integration and Electrical Engineering: Circuit design, cabling, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of programming and configuration, ideally with knowledge of Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal.
Implementation of automation systems, including integration with HMI/SCADA and industrial networks such as PROFINET.
Integration and configuration of industrial devices, including frequency drives, sensors, and actuators.
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Onshape, or alternatively SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in the design of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with CE certification processes and standards.
Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
