About us Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years' industry experience in Australia and New Zealand.
We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors.

About the project Abergeldie is one of two Construction Partners working with WaterNSW to deliver their Asset, Renewals and Replacement Program (ARRP).
Under the ARRP, Abergeldie will deliver multi-disciplinary packages varying in size and complexity, spread across a large geographical footprint across regional New South Wales and Greater Sydney.
The scope is vast and includes, but is not limited to, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical minor capital works and rehabilitation.
About the opportunity Abergeldie is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with sound understanding of construction methods, commissioning and water asset/bulk projects.
Key duties of the role include: Manage site safety, WHS, trades and subcontractors.
Gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company's Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures, ensuring that all site personnel adhere to them at all times.
Manage the construction program.
Ensure time restraints are adhered to.
Conduct site inductions, pre starts and tool box talks.
Liaise with stakeholders.
Contribute to effective cost and resource management.
Provide training and mentoring to develop Leading Hands and Construction Workers as well as verifying the qualifications and competencies of site personnel.
Maintain a comprehensive and accurate daily site diary recording the events of each day.
What you'll bring to the team Extensive experience in an equivalent role.
Experience in managing subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing design documentation, understanding drawings, providing constructability review and implementing final design plans.
Experience in working in the Water Industry.
Relevant tickets and licences.
Cert IV in Civil Supervision (Desirable) Knowledge and experience in the installation pipe, valve, gate and screening systems Be willing to travel to regional NSW and work in remote areas as required (with LAHA provided).
