Position Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our growing team.
This role focuses on designing, managing, and implementing HVAC systems for residential and commercial projects.
You will collaborate closely with the architect, contractor, and project owner to ensure that designs meet US building codes, particularly HVAC systems, with a preference for knowledge of Florida codes.
This is a senior position, ideally suited for experienced engineers with proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, and load calculation tools like Trace 700 or Carrier HAP.
Key Responsibilities: Design HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings using Auto CAD, Revit, and Trace 700.
Ensure designs comply with US building codes, particularly HVAC-specific codes, with a strong emphasis on Florida building regulations.
Conduct energy analysis to optimize HVAC systems for energy efficiency.
Collaborate with teams to ensure the systems are implemented per design and code compliance.
Support during construction phase, ensuring systems are correctly installed.
Provide technical support and documentation to project management teams throughout the process.
Maintain communication with internal teams and external clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC system design and project management in residential and commercial projects in the US.
Experience working with US-based companies and knowledge of US building codes is essential.
Florida experience is a plus but local US practice is considered.
Experience with Florida building codes is preferred, though similar state regulations will be considered like the International Building Code or ASHRAE.
Tools and Skills: Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, HAP or Trace 700 for load calculations is required.
Ability to read and interpret technical building codes and make adjustments to HVAC designs as necessary.
Strong communication skills in English, with proficiency in reading and comprehending technical codes.
Knowledge of energy-efficient design principles and renewable energy systems is a plus.
Nice-to-Haves : Prior experience in customer service roles alongside technical expertise.
