Join today and build progress with us. The Opportunity Are you looking to upskill your existing Mechanical Experience to help maintain industrial plant equipment on a Super Quarry? As we've now an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our large engineering team. You'll be based onsite at our Torr Works Quarry, a Limestone Super Quarry in the South West, near Shepton Mallet. This is one of Europe's largest super quarries, where you'll be supported by senior engineers to become an expert in this industry. You'll be part of our Night Shift, where you'll get hands-on experience in our fixed workshop as well as attending reactive breakdowns in the quarry surroundings. The shift rotation is; Week one: Sunday 17:00-02:30, Monday-Friday 21:30-06:00 Week two: Monday-Thursday 21:30-06:00 You'll attend reactive and preventive maintenance around site to various equipment such as Crushers, Screeners & conveyor systems, mainly focusing on the primary conveyor uphill system, capable of tonnages of 2000 tonnes per/hour, alongside the processing and handling equipment involved - Primary, secondary stone crushers, conveyor chutes, vibrating multi deck screens. With a focus on Health & Safety across our business this role is no different, you'll carry out all repairs safely and continue to maintain a hazard free environment. Who you are You'll already be working towards a career in engineering so will have some hands on experience as a mechanic, assembly technician or in a production/ manufacturing environment. You'll hold a Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance or a Mechanical Discipline. You'll have a willingness to learn and be keen to upskill your existing experience.
