We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer – Support to the HNB Assembly Tooling Project on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Barcelona, Spain. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
Support on the performance of structural calculations and review of engineering analysis of heavy (above 10 T) metallic structures, such as lifting tools, supports, stillages, etc.;Support in making sure that design solutions provided comply with CE marking and EU standards such as machinery directive and standards related to lifting devices;Support the follow-up of contracts with industry for the design and manufacturing of electro-mechanical systems for the Heating Neutral Beam of ITER. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;At least 10 years of relevant experience;Experience in the performance of linear and non-linear structural analyses using ANSYS or Abaqus;Experience working in the design of machines for heavy load applications;Professional experience in the use of standards EN 1090, EN 1991-3, EN 1990, or equivalent, for the design, manufacturing and installation of welded steel structures is considered an asset;On-site presence is required at least two days per week;Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;Very good level of English, both written and spoken.
