Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create detailed mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software. Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs. Analysis: Perform stress, strain, thermal or any other analysis to ensure the reliability and durability of components and systems. Manufacturing Support: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including selecting materials and methods. Work closely with production teams to implement designs. Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures and standards. Conduct inspections and testing to ensure products meet specifications. Documentation: Prepare contents for technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides. Compliance: Ensure designs and processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety codes. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials science. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Effective communication (English and Spanish) and teamwork skills. Experience with quality control and assurance processes. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in packaging industry. Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental impact analysis.
