Lead Designer for Offshore Service Business Unit.
The role is for tooling development for wind turbine maintenance tasks, leading the full engineering in collaboration with the solution owner.

How to contribute to our vision
In this role, no two days will be the same, as you will have various types of tasks including:
Concept tooling development and mechanical engineering design with various materials like steel, aluminum, casted iron, composites, and plastics, for replacement of components.
Large assemblies and advanced shapes in 3D modeling using NX.
Structural Analysis and calculation of designed components, sharp understanding of the norms and industry standards.
Technical documentation like 2D drafting with Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS), D-FMEA, EHS Design Risk Assessment, Tolerance Stack Analysis, Purchase specification, etc.
Execute design reviews with stakeholders.
Balancing important requirements such as quality, cost, manufacturability, serviceability, and EHS.
Participate in prototype assembly in workshop and implement lessons learned.
Work with design improvements, cost outs, etc.
Collaboration with stakeholders throughout the value chain such as Service, Production, EHS, Prototype Workshop, Procurement, and manufacturing Suppliers.
Lead the product development through all its phases directly and through stakeholder management.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. You probably have a bachelor or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with a minimum of 6 years of experience within product development and mechanical design engineering. Alternatively, you are a highly skilled recent graduate with an educational track record to show for it.
You are an experienced user in 3D modeling and 2D drafting in a CAD tool, preferably with Teamcenter and Siemens NX PLM software. You have deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as machining and welding. Competencies and interest in structural engineering and calculation would be of an advantage.
You have the ability to work under pressure and in challenging conditions while maintaining a solid overview of tasks. You have a strong desire and ability to drive improvement and change.
You will have leadership skills and organizational skills in order to manage the development of multiple tools working closely with the wider team in collaboration. Additionally, you will contribute and drive engineering consensus in the team.
Furthermore, as you will be working in an international team, you need strong communication skills in English.
