Mechanical Design Engineer
We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to be part of the Mechanical Design group, joining the Nuclear Product development team, at our facilities in San Sebastián de los Reyes.
The aim is to strengthen our team to meet the new needs for the development of automatic inspection systems using non-destructive testing for nuclear and aeronautics applications.
The main tasks will be the following:
Integrate into a development team for the specification, mechanical design (3D and 2D), development, set up, and validation of new inspection systems and their possible prototypes, as well as for the maintenance and evolution of existing ones. In addition to leading the developments, support to other mechanical engineers (internal and contractors) will be part of the job.
Interaction in multidisciplinary teams with other specialists in software, electronic design, systems engineers and non-destructive testing to ensure the quality and performance of the products developed.
Documentation of the activity carried out according to existing procedures.
Carrying out tests and diagnostics at the customer's nuclear plants and other facilities.

Minimum requirements
Academic background: Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum experience of five years as a mechanical design engineer, with knowledge in manufacturing, assembly, pneumatics, and basic knowledge of electronics and control systems.
Advanced knowledge of 3D design tools (PTC Creo is required).
Minimum level of English of B1, according to the CEFR, with a higher level and other languages being valued especially for international projects.
Communication skills and work in multidisciplinary teams.
Availability to make frequent trips to the sites where Inspection work is carried out or supervised, both nationally and internationally.
Desirable:
Knowledge of PLM systems, especially PTC Windchill.
Experience in finite element calculations, preferably ANSYS.
3D printing experience.
Demonstrable previous experience in the design of automatic systems.
Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing.
