Both Murcia and Cartagena are modern, friendly cities with many cultural and recreational facilities with easy travel links to other major Spanish cities.The school also benefits from the Mediterranean climate and there are many beaches and nature walks in the immediate area. The school follows both the British and Spanish curriculums as well as offering IB and BTEC education.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:To deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with the UK National Curriculum and local requirements.To plan, feedback and teach in line with school and departmental procedures.To plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with school policies.To maintain a working knowledge of National Curriculum & other documents.To maintain records of pupils' progress including all statutory documents required by the UK DFE.To produce reports and grades for pupils as per the school calendar.To conduct termly interviews with parents to discuss and explain their child's performance and progress in school.To provide and maintain an attractive and stimulating environment in which to foster effective teaching and learning.To monitor progress and the effectiveness of class work and to evaluate and modify planning and teaching as necessary.To differentiate accordingly according to the students' needs.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:A dynamic and pro-active teacher, preferably with independent sector or international experience.A natural leader with an engaging and passionate character.Bachelor's degree with QTS.Excellent working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and recent developments.Fluency in written and spoken English.Spanish language skills or willingness to learn.Some understanding of Spanish culture and the region.Master's degree and/or proof of CPD.SAFEGUARDING STATEMENTInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
