Material Service Manager - LTA & MRTT programsJob Description: Description of the job: The Material Service Manager is the main focal point between the materiel organization and our Customers as well as other organizations within Airbus. The MSM is also responsible for all materiel activities, including contractual management, ordering and E2E order fulfilment.
Task & accountabilities:
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Act as the primary interface for Airbus DS Services Regional Directors towards Material Services, ensuring correct reporting and cascading of program planning within Material Services. Ensure that requirements and expectations are clearly understood and all necessary management and setup activities are executed by the programme office.Act as single point of contact for customers for Material Support orders and deliveries.Formally represent Material Services in the Programme Governance reviews and customer meetings.Lead Performance based logistics contracts for specific customers. Measure and monitor contractual performance, anticipate issues and launch corrective actions as required.Ensures Entry into Service for new contracts and In Service Material Support. Monitor and secure major contractual milestones.Follow-up the spares and repair provisioning process until delivery to Customer. Mitigate risks in advance in order to ensure on time delivery.Management of Customer queries including returned materials and warranty claims. Follow-up and resolve discrepancies (Internal and from customer).Obtain pricing information, preparation and provision of quotations and/or price lists to customers.Management of all Orders (Repairs/Spares) from demand creation to customer acceptance.Steer all Order Management related CoCs within and outside TASM.Optimization in performance and cost of the acquired commitments.Report Orderbook status (Spares, Repairs, IPLs) and specific issues or risks and opportunities.Lead Internal/External customer meetings reporting orderbook status in detail.Interface with Materiel Local team to assure E2E optimum flow.Manage the Subcontracted service.Support and train materiel personnel on customer sites.Ensures alignment of Operating Plan assumptions between Programme and Material Services, follow up of budget/expenditure, early identification of deviations and establishment and follow-up of corrective actions.This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
