Purpose of the position Hiab Cranes is looking for a Material Planner to ensure the appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery. The position will be based in Zaragoza, Spain. Main tasks and responsibilities Release of purchase orders for direct material (those used in Production). Monitoring of orders to ensure that there is no lack of supply on the Production lines. Provide technical and daily activities and understand the demand to develop material management activities, such as logistics or warehousing. Negotiation and monitoring with suppliers, mostly international, to adjust their production capacity to ours. What you'll need to succeed University degree or equivalent, with relevant engineering and/or industrial experience. At least 2 years' relevant work experience in logistics/sourcing roles in an international and multi-site company. Experience in working with large suppliers with global multi-site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiations. Experience in using ERP systems. Experience in complex steel assemblies/hydraulic systems/electrical & electronics preferred. Fluency in English - both written and spoken. Excellent knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge. Continuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact-based approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationships.
