This position reports to Warehouse Supervisor.
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct all activities related to the handling of parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or to/from the production line. Each day, you will be responsible for sorting and arranging material for storage as per guidelines.
You will also showcase your expertise by performing other routine activities according to established procedures. You will be mainly accountable for:
Sorting and arranging material for storage as per guidelines.Executing routine activities according to established procedures.Picking components from stock for dispatch and final packing on pallets.Transporting boxes, and being responsible for various other collection, storage, and warehouse activities.This position works 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.
Qualifications for the roleMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Ability to learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality and productivity.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions.Ability to solve problems in a standardized situation with some variables.Ability to work in a high noise environment that requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or pushing weights up to 50 pounds.Flexible in terms of shift scheduling, including scheduling for weekends, overtime and holiday shifts.Preferred Qualifications:Have a strong commitment and ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures and utilize all required safety equipment.Detail oriented with good analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).Knowledge of Inventory software and Manufacturing software.Minimum of one-year experience in driving powered industrial forklifts and/or reach trucks - and/or experience in operating pallet jacks or order picking.Ability to use company mainframe computer systems(s).Ability to run weight counting scales.Good math and problem solving skills.Ability to make quality/repair decisions based on visual inspections of products within prescribed guidelines.More about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
