PRESENTATION OF THE DEPARTMENT Application Engineering is a dynamic and versatile department composed of highly qualified engineers dedicated to supporting customers by delivering innovative technological solutions grounded in extensive expertise.
The department is also actively involved in a variety of national and international R&D projects focused on novel high-tech materials, their associated manufacturing methods, and applications.
ABOUT THE JOB As part of our company's significant growth, we are seeking to strengthen our Application Engineering Department by hiring a skilled Materials Engineer with at least 6 years of experience in materials engineering, particularly in material forming processes involving thermodynamics, such as aluminium die casting, hot stamping, hot forging, and plastic injection moulding.
The successful candidate will lead technical projects and activities related to the tooling of material forming processes, providing high-quality technical support to ROVALMA's customers and distribution partners by offering optimal ROVALMA solutions and ensuring their application and performance.
YOUR PROFILE At least M.Sc.
or equivalent degree in Material Engineering, Material Science, or Metallurgy.
A minimum of 6 years' experience working with tool steels, specifically in aluminium die casting, hot stamping, and plastic injection.
Proven expertise in steel materials characterization and failure analysis.
Fluency in both English and Spanish (written, spoken, and listening) is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Experience providing technical customer support will be highly valued.
Previous experience in reporting and presenting results for EU-funded projects is an advantage.
Strong creativity, a sense of responsibility, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Flexibility and readiness to occasionally travel within Spain and internationally for customer site visits and to represent ROVALMA as a technical expert at national and international conferences and trade fairs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with demonstrated ability to perform advanced data and Computer Assisted Desing (CAD) analysis, create impactful professional presentations, and draft high-quality documents.
