Position Summary: The Materials Associate is directly responsible for performing receiving, shipping, and storage functions in support of production operations according to established procedures.
The Materials Associate requires the ability to safely move materials to and from material storage, shipping, receiving, and production areas with accurate and timely reporting of all material relocations.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Load and unload materials; receive materials into the Company system and verify materials against Pack Lists to ensure accuracy.
Count and weigh parts to check quantity accuracy and contact the buying team when shipments are inaccurate.
Pick parts for shipment and package according to shipping procedures.
Use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order-pickers, and dollies.
Issue materials to departments upon request and deliver parts to the work area.
Monitor inventory and report discrepancies in quantities to the team leader.
Assist with stock replenishment, rotation, and Cycle Counting.
Transfer parts between bin locations and prepare parts for shipping.
Safely operate all certified equipment.
Accurately enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems.
Support 5S / Housekeeping activities.
Meet physical logistics KPIs and adhere to FIFO standards.
Wear all required PPE and follow safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety, Health and Physical Requirements: Stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs repetitively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working in a non-climate controlled environment.
Requires wearing personal protective equipment.
Good hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are essential.
Punctual attendance and flexibility to work overtime and holidays are required.
Key Competencies: Safety Initiative, Judgement/Decision Making, Teamwork/Interpersonal Skills, Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Education & Experience: High School diploma/GED required.
6 months experience in fast-paced industrial lean environment preferred.
1 year material handling experience in a distribution environment preferred.
Prior experience with RF scanning and as a certified equipment/forklift operator preferred.
Ability to read, write, and differentiate numbers.
Computer Skills: SAP or related warehouse management system experience preferred.
Entry-level MS Word and Excel skills required.
