Position Summary: The Materials Associate is directly responsible for performing receiving, shipping, and storage functions in support of production operations according to established procedures.
The Materials Associate requires the ability to safely move materials to and from material storage, shipping, receiving, and production areas with accurate and timely reporting of all material relocations.

Load and unload materials; receive materials into the Company system and verify materials against Pack Lists to ensure the accuracy of the delivery; count and weigh parts to check quantity accuracy and contact the buying team when shipment is inaccurate to rectify the discrepancy.
Pick parts for shipment and packaging according to shipping procedures.
Use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order-pickers, and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location.
Issue materials to departments in the organization upon request; involving but not limited to, transacting inventory quantities to the department, and delivering the parts to the work area.
Monitor the inventory and report discrepancies in quantities to the team leader.
Stock replenishment, rotation, and combining where needed; assist with Cycle Counting.
Transfer parts between bin locations with the Company Operation System and prepare and package parts to be shipped.
Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
Safely operate all equipment to which the individual is certified.
Read and understand work instructions and/or follow oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.
Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required.
Accurately and timely enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
Perform transactions in the inventory system to enter new quantities and during shipping transactions to remove inventory from stock.
Read electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.
Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
Load/Unload materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
Meet physical logistics KPIs, Associate Engagement and Teamwork Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety, Health and Physical Requirements: Stand for extended periods of time including during operation of stand up lifts.
Lifting shoulder high up to 35lbs repetitively.
Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working in a non-climate controlled environment.
This position requires a moderate to high degree of standing, walking, stooping, or kneeling, close eye work, reaching, pulling, or pushing.
Requires wearing personal protective equipment.
May require occasional work from heights.
Operating, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, and industrial trucks.
Good hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are considered essential.
Ability to distinguish color required.

Education & Experience: Education: High School diploma/GED, or basic skills assessment required.
Experience: 6 months experience in fast-paced industrial lean environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
1 year material handling experience in a distribution environment preferred.
Prior experience with RF scanning.
1 year experience as certified equipment/forklift operator in a distribution environment/active license preferred.
Ability to read, write and differentiate numbers.
Computer Skills: SAP or related warehouse management system experience preferred.
Entry level MS Word and Excel.
