Job Purpose:As part of DePuy Synthes manufacturing strategy, we are increasing Global Manufacturing Capacity within the DPS Orthopaedic franchise. The S&ID Function is now recruiting for a Master Scheduling Lead to support the management of a Portfolio of Programs in specific product platforms across multiple regions.
Duties and Responsibilities:Co-ordinate the hiring, management, motivation, and development of the scheduling team in a manner that will facilitate high performance in line with J&J Standards of leadership.Drive and co-ordinate the implementation of best-in-class scheduling methodology and tools for complex capital investment programs.Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the project scheduling team.Identify training needs of staff and opportunities/assignments for development to maximize their potential.Support the completion of performance appraisals and mid-year reviews in a timely manner.Ensure HR issues are managed in a fair and reasonable manner in line with company policies, Credo values, and Standards of leadership.Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance against them, providing timely and honest feedback on performance.Create opportunities to reward and recognize success of teams and individuals. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.PMP certification (or equivalent) preferred.Expertise in scheduling and PPM tools (e.g., MS Project Server or Primavera P6) required.Demonstrated high levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application of planning & scheduling required.Successful track record in people leadership in a manufacturing engineering environment with 10 years' experience in project planning, control, and management required.Working knowledge of Quality Management Standards required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Flexible work ethicStrong influencing skills - excellent communication skills (written and oral).Problem Solving skills – to assist in maintaining project progress.Decision Making – required to make decisions on management issues.Excellent Planning & Organizing Skills.Extent of Confidentiality - discretion is essential in view of contact with outside parties, product development strategies & regulatory. Location and Travel Requirements:15% travel may be required.
