The job: Join us as our new Market Intelligence Manager. The purpose of this position is to enable effective decision-making and execution, guided by in-depth market and competitor intelligence, in support of the growth initiatives and strategy generation by the Life Science Solutions Group (LSG). This role will generate market, customer and competitor insights and communicate them into the organization in such a way that drives internal change. The position will report directly to the Global Market Intelligence Director for LSG, and provide business support and analysis to the commercial leaders and marketing teams of the Life Science Solutions, Laboratory Products, and Bioproduction Groups. We are offering this role as fully remote (working from home), based in either the UK or Spain. Some international travel may be required (up to 15% per annum), with overnight stays.

What will you do? Design, develop, establish, maintain and improve market intelligence processes to measure the performance of Thermo Fisher relative to key markets, customers and competitors.Conduct detailed research and analysis, identifying trends, growth opportunities and threats related to market position and solutions.In-depth and ongoing competitor analysis to understand performance and strategic goals of key competitors and identify areas of vulnerability and strength.Lead and research the compilation of market information that enable strategic and tactical plans. Support annual STRAP process and key solution/product planning/lead generation efforts.Look for patterns within large quantities of data, and reference key characteristics using visualization techniques.Own market intelligence sources: Maintain contacts with key information sources (internal and external) to facilitate effective communication and understanding of information.Work closely with commercial and marketing leaders.Design, prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reports to management, and build other reports as requested.Participate in the assessment and evaluation of opportunities for new products and programs by providing appropriate market research and information required.Who we are looking for: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.5+ years related experience in Competitive Intelligence, Marketing, Market and Business Analysis, or Consulting.Experience with distilling large amounts of data into clear summaries of findings and recommendations for business solutions.Financial modelling experience.Experience in knowledge management and data visualization (e.g., Power BI) highly desired.High proficiency with crafting, manipulating, and presenting information in a PowerPoint presentation and with creating financial models in Excel.Able to cultivate effective relationships at all levels in a matrix environment, including with international business partners.Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, with shown success working within sophisticated, fast-paced environments.Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, coupled with experience of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Self-motivated.Fluent in English.What's in it for you: Excellent career progression opportunities with a large and growing global employer.Competitive salary, plus annual incentive bonus.Full benefits package (specifics depend on country of hire).About us: Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
