We are looking for a Market Data Analyst based in Málaga or ready to relocate to Spain. EPAM will provide relocation support to you and your family upon successful interview process.We always hire for a career in EPAM, but the initial client for this hire is a leading UK-based hedge fund with aggressive growth aspirations and a challenging delivery agenda. A successful candidate is expected to work from our Málaga office 4 days/week and visit the client in their London office as required.In this role, you will enjoy a diverse mix of tasks that will keep you challenged and intrigued. Not only will you perform data analysis, but you will also dive into development and undertake leadership and project management tasks.ResponsibilitiesEngage in varied tasks including providing support to end-users on Market Data issues, handling daily business activities, managing small projects addressing major business needs and documenting processes and knowledge.Look for automation opportunities and play a proactive role in proposing new processes, tools and approaches.Develop specification of new functionality as required by projects across the front, middle and back office.Execute ongoing improvement of knowledge through better documentation and knowledge management infrastructure.Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements and better user experiences.Help investigate complex functional software issues, assist in root cause analysis and establish a solution.Identify and manage risks and flag major issues early.Participate in on-call rotations (subject to on-call and overtime compensation).RequirementsKnowledge in the capital market domain (funds, investment banks, brokers, market infrastructure, data/platform vendors, etc.).Experience with Python.Experience working with different asset classes (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives), with solid knowledge of their features and life cycle.Technical background with SQL and solid data interrogation skills.Positive attitude to face uncertainty and complexity, paired with the ability to provide recommendations and make own judgements.Clear and precise communication, leading others and transferring knowledge efficiently.Nice to haveExperience with Buy Side.Advanced Excel skills.Experience working with high volume datasets.Experience with market data systems working with financial data providers like Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, etc.Process documentation skills.We offerPrivate health insurance.EPAM Employees Stock Purchase Plan.100% paid sick leave.Referral Program.Professional certification.Language courses.EPAM is a leading digital transformation services and product engineering company with over 52,650 EPAMers in more than 55 countries and regions.
