JOB SUMMARY: The Market Access Director Iberia is a key role in our Spanish affiliate. The incumbent will lead market access, HTA and pricing efforts for all BioCryst products at national, regional, and local level in Spain and Portugal and has responsibility and accountability for achieving timely, optimal, and sustained patient access in target markets. The role will require an experienced, skilled, hands-on, and dynamic self-starter with relevant industry/consultancy experience who equally excels in working independently, in a team, and cross-functionally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and drive execution of integrated market access plans at affiliate level in line with global strategy and objectives.Implement appropriate and impactful tactics to achieve optimal and sustained patient access and pricing conditions for BioCryst assets in Spain and Portugal.Identify key opportunities and risks in target markets in the context of internal factors, dynamic external market forces, and evolving policy landscape, and continuously realign strategies and tactics accordingly.Effectively demonstrate the patient-centered value of BioCryst's assets to national and regional health authorities, HTA agencies, and payers.Engagement and relationship management with relevant external stakeholders.Analysis and synthesis of data and cross-functional information and translation into meaningful recommendations and local tactics.Adaptation of key global tools for local utilization, including global value dossier, value proposition, health economic analyses.Development of local pricing strategy and tactics at regional and local level, including innovative pricing and risk-sharing agreements and contracting approaches that optimize value.Development of local real-world evidence generation strategy to support patient access; support execution of cross-functional real-world evidence initiatives.Optimize European and global access strategy by embedding affiliate perspective whilst ensuring that above-country initiatives meet local HTA agency and payer requirements.Collaborate closely with the European and global market access and HEOR function and other in-country and above-country cross-functional teams.Represent market access function in launch readiness teams for Spain and Portugal.Closely monitor market access and pricing initiatives of competitors/analogues in target countries and benchmark.Advise country management and European market access team on relevant market access and pricing topics.Build and leverage strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure continuous and consistent communication with medical affairs and commercial teams. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BSc required; life sciences degree or equivalent desirable, relevant post-graduate degree preferred.At least 10 years of experience in market access roles in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or consultancy.In-depth understanding of HTA and price negotiation processes, payer regulations, and relevant healthcare policy in target markets.Experienced in a variety of therapeutic areas. Experience in rare diseases, and orphan or ultra-orphan therapies highly desirable.Excellent verbal and written communication in English, presentation, and influencing skills are essential.Must exhibit leadership potential and ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Self-starter who functions well independently and within a team in matrix organizations.Ability to travel up to 40%.
