As the successful new hire, your position will include management, supervision and training of junior structural engineering staff and will be responsible to lead engineering, planning, design, and analysis activities for waterfront, port and maritime infrastructure projects. The firm provides clients worldwide with customised service and a level of excellence that have become the firm's hallmark in three primary practise areas—coastal, environmental, and water resources; ports and harbours; and transportation, bridges, and rail.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject management and Senior Project Engineer dutiesWork independently and collaboratively in a team environmentSupervise, mentor, and train junior structural staffActively participate in initiatives to grow the team as required through hiring of interns and junior staffLead the development of contract documents for various project delivery methods including drawings, specifications, basis of design, technical reports, technical memorandums, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, project and construction schedules, etc.Lead the development of structural analysis, modeling, capacity calculations and calculation reportsPerform periodic site visits and attend client meetings as requiredPrepare and lead projects pursuits / opportunities including positioning, team building, proposal writing, interviewing and contract negotiationLead the implementation of quality control and quality assurance on projectsCoordinate closely with business managers and technical leaders in the company to advance initiativesCoordinate with coastal, civil, transportation, mechanical, electrical, construction, inspection, permitting/environmental and other disciplinesManage subconsultants and construction services throughout project lifecyclesOther duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
