The Senior Marine Scientist of Canadian Adventure Charters Ltd is responsible for the success of the Corporation.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Marine Biologist is responsible for the marine-based monitoring and sampling programs, technical report preparation and delivery, and providing Subject Matter Expert advice to CAC, clients, and regulators related to Environmental Impact Management, in concordance with the Corporation's mission, goals, operating principles, and strategic actions.
This position is a senior management role in the Corporation.
Responsibilities: Participating in the development of our luxury explore yacht and submarine charter platform and building our brand/product and website in collaboration with the marketing executives' teams.
Promoting Newfoundland & Labrador and The Northwest Passage at charter destinations within CAC's selected charter operations loop into Newfoundland, Labrador, Northwest Passage, Spain, Canary Islands, Bahamas, and Fort Lauderdale.
Building a charter yachting destination industry in Newfoundland & Labrador as our yachting & submarine hub for Newfoundland & Labrador & Northwest Passage Charter Adventures, Submarine Dive Expeditions, Exploration, Treasure & Shipwreck Recovery, Underwater Film/Documentary Entertainment - Climate Change/Global Warming Research.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Canadian Adventure Charters Board of Directors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Marine Scientist holds a successful portfolio building and managing public trading private marine biology and research corporations for a minimum of 10 years, working directly with Investor Relations (IR) and Stakeholders, including networking with ocean research vessels and research stations, marine aquarium corporations, and building partner relations with Fortune 500 Companies.
Managing $50M-$100M annual marine biology and climate change-global warming, toxic-free research portfolios.
The Marine Scientist will be directly responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, operations, and 24/7 care of CAC's onsite ocean-side aquarium and both 500-gallon aquariums and lab onboard both of CAC's explore yachts.
Extensive management experience in the Arctic, Northwest Passage, Baffin Islands, Antarctica, and the Med Atlantic, including Spain, Canary Islands, Bahamas, and Newfoundland & Labrador, will be a plus.
This role is critical in promoting a positive corporate image and maintaining strong external communication with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, media, and public relations.
The Marine Scientist will report to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Executive, the COO, and the President of all Business Charter Development, Bookings, Contracts, Schedules & all other related Operations.
