Job Description Summary: The Managing Director of Centre of Excellence (COE) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving excellence across all Havas COEs in India, Spain, and LATAM, and across various fields of expertise. This person will be a visionary leader, strategist, and collaborator, ensuring seamless integration, global compliance to processes and ways of working, and continuous improvement across all COE activities including Biddable, AdOps, Ecommerce, and Data Specialist practices.
S/He is responsible for the overall consolidation of activity, supported by other global teams (RH, IT, specialist leaders) and will therefore foster a culture of innovation, drive excellence in delivery, and build strategic partnerships with the network. S/He will also actively participate in global pitches to drive the growth and success of Havas COEs.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Oversight: Provide strategic leadership and direction to all Havas COEs in India, Spain, and LATAM, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the COEs, promoting knowledge-sharing, innovation, and best practices. Oversee the development and implementation of standardized processes, workflows, and tools across all COEs to ensure consistency and efficiency. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with COE leadership and teams, ensuring transparency and alignment. Manage local COE leadership teams and support them in their day-to-day operations, coordinating with other global teams supporting COEs (e.g., CSA, AdOps, RH, etc.). Global Process Compliance and Optimization: Evaluate and streamline existing processes and workflows across all COE-based clients to achieve a unified way of working. Implement and enforce global standards for all specialist activities (Biddable, AdOps, Ecommerce, and Data) ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements. Identify opportunities for automation, technology adoption, and process improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitor and measure COE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Capability Building and Partnerships: Develop and execute strategies to build and enhance digital media capabilities across all COEs. Foster strong relationships with key partners, including media vendors, technology providers, and industry associations. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge. Identify and implement training and development programs to upskill COE teams and ensure continuous learning. Global Pitches and Governance: Actively participate in global pitches, showcasing Havas COEs' capabilities and expertise. Establish and maintain a robust governance framework to ensure accountability, transparency, and compliance across all COEs. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on COE performance, initiatives, and key achievements. Qualifications and Experience: Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in digital media, with a strong focus on biddable media and programmatic advertising. Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams in a global or multi-regional setting. Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, including ad tech, data analytics, and measurement. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse teams. Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience working with international teams and clients is a plus. Language skills: Fluent in English; Spanish will be considered a plus. Contract Type: Permanent
