The position of Manager, Regulatory Reporting & Analytics role reports to the Director Strategic Planning & Development (SP&D) and will be based in London. Their principal remit will be the creation of tools, insights, the provision of regulatory reports and analytics to support regulatory ad hoc and regular requests across the Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) EMEA organization.
The incumbent will partner with the broader GMS business teams, interacting with Operational Excellence, GCO, Compliance teams, Finance to deliver a best-in-class MIS. They will also partner with existing SP&D team members to leverage reporting systems, knowledge, best practice, and work with SABE (Center of Excellence) based in India when required.
Amex's Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) signs merchants to accept American Express cards and maintains the card acceptance network. GMNS is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with merchants, merchant acquirers, processors, and the network. GMNS also processes card transactions and settles with merchants that accept American Express cards. Furthermore, GMNS provides marketing information and services such as fraud prevention to merchants. In addition, GMNS builds and manages loyalty coalition programs which enable consumers to earn and spend rewards points.
Responsibilities:
Development and roll out regulatory reporting, insights, and analytics to stakeholders.Establish and implement new MIS reporting solutions in Tableau/models to meet business demands.Act as an SME for regional/global regulatory analytics, insights and projects.Leverage existing reports, systems to build tailored reporting, insights to support internal and external data requests.Collaborate with broader team to understand acquisition, coverage and client management data.Partner with operational excellence, compliance and GCO teams to align on regulatory needs.Automate regular reports, data sets for production and establish new process with efficiency.Effectively supply data to multiple stakeholders in timely fashion.Perform ad hoc analytics when required.Required skills:
Technical skills: SAS / SQL programming (Intermediate - Expert level); Tableau (Intermediate), Cornerstone, Hive, Visualization and Coding experience (Advanced).Highly proficient user of Excel and Power-point.Prior experience developing, executing, and managing reporting processes and insights.Highly analytical with strong understanding of financial evaluation and ability to scenario model.Ability to identify and implement technical solutions to achieve process automation and reports.Proven verbal and written communication skills, with experience to develop robust presentations.Customer focused, enthusiastic and creative with the ability to think conceptually and strategically.Proven ability to influence others without direct authority within a matrix organization.An optimistic and growth mindset with a tremendous will to win as a team.Self-starter and ability to work independently to problem solve.Passion, flexibility, sense of humor, and a positive attitude are KEY requirements to join a great team of professionals!Business degree or equivalent.
