Location:Bilbao HQ OfficeAs Manager Digital Automation, you will execute the annual digitalization projects that emanate from the digital transformation strategy of the organization. You will be a project team member and, on some occasions, assume responsibility for managing some of our digitalization and automation projects to deliver on time, budget, and projected performance.ResponsibilitiesLead and/or execute digitalization initiatives to enhance Operational Efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Operational Excellence and Engineering) to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization based on digitalization.Report metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives and track progress against established KPIs (Adoption Rate)Support site engineers to analyse data to drive insights and continuous improvements.Train operations workforce in using digital and automation systems.Support Operational Excellence function in driving the change management associated with the digital transformation.Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resources for the Digitalization and automation CAPEX projects, and ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and delivering at the projected performance.Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners to ensure that the organization is getting the most value from its digital investments.Competencies (Reference: Sibelco (Leadership) Competency Model)Decision Making: Capacity to influence others to get results without authority or hierarchical linkOptimises Work ProcessesDrive ResultsCommunicates Effectively: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.CollaborationManage change and ambiguity: Availability to travel across more than 30 countries across the 5 continents.(Technical) CapabilitiesProblem Solving skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Negotiation skillsProject Management: Experience with project management, budgeting, and resource planning.Data management: Proficiency in automation technologies, including PLC, SCADA, DCS, and MES systems.Behavioural skills: Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Educational Background and prior professional experienceBachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Mathematics, computer sciences or a related field.3+ years of experience in automation and control systems in the minerals processing industry, and mining industry, with a focus on manufacturing execution systems, operational reporting, and process optimization. Experience in other Industrial sectors could be also valued for this job.Desirably some years of experience in operations as a site, production, maintenance manager or process engineer with a track record of delivering operational improvements and cost savings by applying Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies will be valued for this jobLanguages requirementsFluent in EnglishSpanish, French, German, and Mandarin will be taken into consideration in the evaluation of the candidate.
