The Manager of Payor Partnerships, Value-based Care Contracting is a key member of the Payor Partnerships team, with primary responsibilities of supporting senior executives in the underwriting, negotiation, and execution of highly complex value-based care arrangements with payor partners.
Critical to success in this role is an ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple work streams across actuary, operations, legal, and business development.
This includes supporting strategy formulation, business development, and the delivery of a variety of innovative integrated care partnerships (pay-for-performance, shared savings, and capitation).
Other special projects will include strategy work related to the company's broader commercial health plan portfolio.
Position Description and Responsibilities:Support all aspects of the value-based care deal negotiation process, including contracting and negotiation strategy, financial modeling and pricing, and project management.Responsible for all negotiation analytics, including partnering closely with the company's actuarial team, developing financial impact models in coordination with the analyst team, and building ad-hoc analyses independently, as needed.Engage broader team with thoughtful and creative value-based care financial structures to support payor negotiations.Perform ad-hoc strategic analyses that answer sometimes ambiguous but critical questions and inform our overall negotiation strategy.Present analysis findings and conclusions to senior executives in a structured and comprehensive way.Support senior executives to create both internal and external strategic and financial meeting materials that are persuasive and direct.Maintain robust and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders to drive successful completion of deal negotiations and contracting.Project manage independently and operate under tight timelines, as necessary. Minimum Qualifications:Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills.Proven track record of problem-solving abilities needed to develop strategy and direction within a complex payor/provider market.Enjoys owning complicated, fast-paced deliverables and is comfortable navigating uncertain and ambiguous challenges with support of senior teammates.Ability to thought-partner across multiple stakeholders, and demonstrated experience in driving forward progress for complex projects.Solid communication skills; can develop high quality, well formatted presentations and is comfortable communicating complex topics to a senior-level audience.Experience within fast-paced, deal-oriented teams in the corporate development, business development, banking, consulting or adjacent fields.
