Job Description Responsible for local and regional Market Access landscape assessment (pricing, reimbursement, access, stakeholder mapping, etc.)
to identify local Market Access changes/trends which will influence access.
Analyze their implications for Santen and identify the Market Access needs on an ongoing basis to ensure the alignment of business plans.
Help create and maintain a strategic market access plan for Santen products by integrating the EMEA Market Access and Pricing Strategy in a coherent and actionable manner.
Support the HTA submission and authority consultations on behalf of the HTA team to articulate value and policy positions.
Design, prepare, and tender relevant submissions to public formularies at the local/hospital level, ensuring appropriate access for Santen products with public payers.
Build and manage relationships with institutions (e.g., HTA bodies, payer organizations, payer advising KOLs) both at the regional and local levels, in order to establish and consolidate profitable partnerships for all involved parties.
Monitor and update pricing strategy and governance/policy to maintain pricing on the local level to ensure consistency on the EMEA level for Santen's products.
Manage prices of Santen products under the guidance and in close collaboration with the central EMEA Market Access team (i.e., central pricing database, reporting, training).
Manage local pricing related processes (i.e., initiate formal price approval process).
Strategically support the development of the EMEA central pricing strategy under the guidance and in close collaboration with the central EMEA Market Access team (i.e., IRP simulation).
Support Business development and Strategic portfolio management activities with price and reimbursement potential analyses to support the central EMEA Market Access team.
Liaise constantly with the local Sales Force and Marketing function to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.
Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the healthcare/life science industry at Spanish sub-regional or National level.
Field experience (granular level) Knowledge of pricing mechanisms and regulations in Iberia.
Spanish NHS deep knowledge and experience with Price and Reimbursement related stakeholders.
Understanding of P&MA stakeholder's interests, way of thinking, and decision-making.
Ability and willingness to work pro-actively and independently to build up this new function locally.
Existing network of P&MA experts in Iberia, KOLs, and payers.
Ability to manage a large number of external relationships.
Experience in working collaboratively with other stakeholders to develop common policy positions, including through industry association working groups and other third parties.
Ability to work cross-functionally as one team, navigate large complex organizations, and manage a high number of senior internal customers.
Experience in developing and coordinating responses to Government consultation documents.
Proven ability to understand and communicate complex and technical topics simply and succinctly.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
Fluency in local language and English to conduct negotiations.
Any additional language is a plus.
Extensive travel availability and driving license.
Additional experience and skills (Mandatory would be a plus) Experience in Portuguese pharma market.
Experience in new launches.
Experience LCM and generic competition.
Experience with Patients Association Groups.
Experience in Big Pharma.
