The Digital Medical Communications Manager is responsible for developing and managing all customer-facing digital platforms such as AlconScience.com, email communications, social media postings, and other online medical and scientific content. These activities span all regions in support of the entire Alcon Portfolio. The role is part of the medical communications team responsible for a variety of assets including written, video-based, and social media elements in alignment with medical affairs strategy. This role reports to the Director, Global Medical Communications.
Responsibilities: Shapes the medical digital communication strategy and its execution for all regions based on the global medical affairs strategy.Utilizes innovation to solve problems across many countries.Develops and implements strategies to enable business goals using digital communication platforms.Is responsible for operational objectives and long-term planning.Influences internal and/or external key stakeholders to achieve medical / scientific digital communication objectives aligned with business objectives.Leads content development through agency or in-house covering all three franchises: surgical, vision care and pharma; ensures all materials undergo the appropriate medical content approval process.High competency with digital communication platforms and associated content including websites and social media.High competency with effective communications.Drive metrics and reporting to inform medical affairs stakeholders of communication operations.Cross-functional collaboration.Development and delivery of effective presentation to stakeholders.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience
Language: The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
Minimum years of relevant experience: 5 years of relevant experience in the Digital Marketing field.
Experience in planning and leading execution of communication projects, preferably in a medical or biotechnology field.
