Our Transactions Advisory team have established A&M as one of the leading providers of financial due diligence globally and the foremost team to develop a fulfilling career in Transaction Advisory.
We are excited to announce that we have launched our Capital Markets Accounting Advisory (CMAA) team in Madrid. Our CMAA team is lead by a highly established Managing Director and is an integrated part of our established and highly successful global TAG practice. We are currently seeking a Manager for our CMAA team based in Madrid.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to large scale accounting advisory engagements and provide accounting support to clients including implementation assistance with accounting inquiries or new accounting standards and drafting Accounting Position Papers.
Assist with ESMA, SEC or FCA / other relevant authority regulatory filings for spin-offs, carve-outs, initial public offerings (IPO), debt offerings and other acquisition filings for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Support conversion services to clients requiring a change in their financial reporting to GAAP or IFRS.
Provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for M&A, divestitures, complex capital raising / restructures, financial instruments, revenue recognition and provide fresh-start accounting support to clients upon emergence from bankruptcy.
Accountable for staff management, financial metrics of the engagement, and preparation and presentation of accounting findings and concepts.
Support our Managing Directors to develop the CMAA (Capital Markets Accounting Advisory) team including recruitment, mentoring and training junior team members.
Partake in cross-functional teams to deliver services to clients and present final client deliverables including timely and efficient product delivery.
Participate in practice building including, but not limited to recruitment and training, thought leadership, pitches and/or solution development.
The Person:
Experience within Capital Markets Accounting Advisory at a leading Accountancy firm.
A degree in Accounting – Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to assimilate easily into teams.
Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, ESMA, SEC or FCA financial reporting issues.
Proactive in identifying client needs and effective in building a strong relationship with clients.
Experience in contributing to complex Accounting Advisory engagements combined with good stakeholder management skills.
Excellent consulting skills: analytical, written and verbal communication, client presence, facilitation and presentation skills.
Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable.
High energy with commitment to quality client service, focusing on ensuring positive resolutions to conflicts.
Fluent business level English and Spanish is essential. Additional European language skills are highly desirable.
