The BI&A Manager Spain & Portugal for Inmuno-Oncology therapeutic area will generate and embed analytics and insights by proactively partnering with Business Unit Directors and their commercial teams, identifying key business questions and developing and executing the full range of BI&A capabilities (market research, forecasting, analytics).
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for planning primary market research and analytics (including decision science, business performance reporting, and forecasting) to address key business questions in Spain & Portugal for Solid Oncology.Develops, executes, and oversees primary market research design to support strategic and tactical choices for the therapeutic area.Manages the design and ensures the execution of the implementation of analytics, performance management reporting, and forecasting for planned and ad-hoc needs.Builds relationships and effectively influences all senior management stakeholders (GM, BUDs, Marketing, Sales, Medical, BEP/BOs, and Finance).Collaborates with fellow therapeutic area leads to ensure best practices in market research and analytics are embedded consistently across teams.Assists with Sales Force Analytics to enable optimal segmentation, targeting, and sales force sizing - including developing an annual process for deploying Key Driver Analyses to inform resource allocation decisions.Contributes to the development and deployment of innovative BI&A approaches, therapeutic area learnings, and best practices within the global BI&A structure.Liaises with Worldwide, other geographies, and functional teams for efficient sharing and strategic adoption of learnings and capabilities.Provides leadership in April and September Projection forecasting process as well as the annual market planning and budgeting process.May lead third-party contractors.RequirementsBA/BS, MBA or Masters in a quantitative major or concentration preferred.5+ years of pharmaceutical/related market experience, including working knowledge of various analytical capabilities.Ability to leverage large, multi-dimensional data sets to drive business decisions.Strong communication skills, ability to frame issues and present to business stakeholders.Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare marketplace dynamics.Prior experience managing at least one or more direct reports would be a plus.Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.Proficiency and familiarity with analytics/data tools such as SAS, Access, Spotfire, Tableau, SQL, etc.Bristol Myers Squibb recognizes the importance of balance and flexibility in our work environment.
