We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of IT Technology Platforms responsible for Infrastructure, Operations Technology and Digitalization.
This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, and related platforms, along with proven experience in managing complex IT environments and Operations Technology in a R&D and Laboratory Environment.
Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning and Leadership: · Develop and execute the IT Technology Platform strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives in an outsourced environment.
· Provide leadership and direction to the global IT Service Delivery and IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
· Optimize the strategic footprint and usage of our Microsoft infrastructure
· This includes defining short-term and long-term goals, identifying key performance indicators, and monitoring progress towards achieving strategic milestones.
2. Infrastructure and Operations Technology Design and Implementation: · Design, architect, and implement scalable and resilient IT infrastructure solutions based on Microsoft technologies together with the outsourcing partner.
· Identify opportunities and implement together with the outsourcing partner technologies to improve efficiency enhance business operations and drive innovation.
· Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure components.
· Lead initiatives to stabilize interfaces, modernize legacy systems and migrate to cloud-based solutions and applications where applicable.
3. Innovation and Technology Advancement: · Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's IT and OTs infrastructure and services.
· Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions to enhance IT capabilities and support business growth.
4. Team Leadership and Development: · Provide leadership and guidance especially to the IT Service Delivery and the global IT Team including system administrators, network engineers, and cloud specialists.
· Provide guidance to the outsourcing provider.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the global IT team.
5. Vendor Management and Partnerships: · Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and service level agreements.
· Evaluate new products and solutions, conducting vendor assessments and negotiating contracts as needed.
· Collaborate with strategic partners to optimize the use of Microsoft technologies and drive value for the organization.
6. Security and Compliance: · Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data asset together with the IT Security Manager.
Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
· 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
· A minimum of 5 years improving and managing IT and OT Infrastructure in an fully outsourced environment
· Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or Azure certifications are highly desirable.
· Solid understanding of IT security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
