IATA is more than a trade association; it is a vision of a better future for air travel.About the team you are joiningReporting to the Regional Director of Operations Safety and Security (Airport Operations & Security Europe), the candidate will manage airport charges campaigns across the European Region.What your day would be like Work closely with the airport development and charges experts in both the Region and Central to identify and develop agreed strategies for specific airport charges and infrastructure development following global standards and guidelines; Represent the airline community interest at airport charges consultation, regulatory developments and industrial litigation procedures; Provide expert support to airlines and engage constructively with airport owners/operators and authorities to ensure airport capital expenditure is demand driven, cost effective, prioritized and addresses airline's needs; Work with Airports and Governments in the Region towards endorsement of crucial industry positions (Airport charges Directive, Single till, privatization, concessions, etc), in coordination with IATA internal teams fostering the implementation of effective economic regulation at key airports across Europe; Work with Supervisory Authorities and States to address airline requirements at major airports. Particularly hub airports served by IATA member airlines, that are identified by the relevant internal and external stakeholders; Conduct fact finding missions with and on behalf of IATA Subject Matter Experts to determine underlying rationale, scale, and cost of proposed airport development / capacity enhancement programs in the Region; In addition to airports, support or lead the broader OSS agenda as determined by Regional Director
