Job Purpose Analyse, coordinate, and recommend changes within Vueling's operations, in compliance with aviation safety regulations and internal procedures, to ensure safe and efficient implementation of changes and maintain regulatory compliance.
Main Accountabilities Ensure the company remains compliant with evolving aviation regulations and standards. Determine the feasibility and potential impact on operational safety and regulatory compliance. Ensure all relevant aspects of the change are thoroughly evaluated and addressed. Provide informed guidance ensuring operational safety and compliance are maintained. Ensure changes are effectively integrated into operations without compromising safety or compliance. Secure necessary approvals and maintain open communication with regulatory bodies. Ensure that implemented changes are functioning as intended and meeting regulatory standards. Ensure continuous compliance with safety standards and regulations through regular audits and inspections. Ensure that Vueling addresses and resolves any discrepancies identified during these inspections promptly and effectively. Enhance staff understanding and adherence to change management and regulatory compliance procedures. Ensure that changes lead to desired improvements and identify any issues that may arise post-implementation. Ensure accurate record-keeping and provide reference materials for future audits and inspections. Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee´s hand. Main Responsibilities - Tasks Monitor and review regulatory changes affecting Vueling's operations. Receive and assess internal change requests from various departments. Request additional information or actions as needed for proposed changes. Recommend the approval or rejection of proposed changes based on comprehensive analysis. Coordinate the implementation of approved changes with relevant departments. Liaise with the National Aviation Authority regarding proposed changes. Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with approved changes. Support the management and maintenance of Vueling's Operational Safety and Compliance Certification. Provide support in coordinating responses to inspections conducted by national and international aviation authorities. Facilitate training sessions and workshops on change management processes and compliance for staff. Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of changes. Develop and maintain documentation related to change management processes and compliance. Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job. Main Relationships Operations Departments (Flight Operations, Maintenance, Ground Operations): To coordinate and analyse changes that impact these areas, ensuring they are compliant with safety and regulatory standards. Safety and Compliance Departments: To ensure all operational changes adhere to safety regulations and internal compliance requirements. Commercial and PRL (Risk Prevention) Departments: To address changes affecting commercial operations and occupational health and safety. Management and Department Heads: To secure approval for proposed changes and ensure alignment with company objectives. IT Department: To support the integration and implementation of changes requiring IT infrastructure or software adjustments. Training Department: To organise and conduct training sessions related to new changes and compliance requirements. National Aviation Authority: To submit proposed changes for approval and maintain compliance with national aviation regulations. International Aviation Authorities: To ensure adherence to regulations in all countries where Vueling operates. Regulatory Bodies and Industry Associations: To stay informed about industry standards, best practices, and changes in aviation regulations. External Auditors and Inspectors: To facilitate inspections and audits, providing necessary documentation and responses. Education Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering (preferably Aeronautical), or a related field. In-depth knowledge of how various departments within an airline operate, including flight operations, maintenance, and ground operations. Experience At least 1-2 years of experience in airline operations, particularly with exposure to multiple operational departments.
Languages Fluency in English and Spanish.
Other Knowledge of SMS. Excel, PPT, Tableau. Ideally, knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA, ICAO, IATA, etc.). Ideally, knowledge of airline's Operations Manual. Ideally, Coruson. Location Viladecans (Barcelona).
