The Position Asphaltech is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a full-time, permanent Management Accountant to join our team. Based in Malaga and reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for providing financial information and reports to the Directors, General Manager, and Engineers.
We are seeking a candidate with exceptional reporting and financial analysis skills, with significant experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Strong communication skills are essential as this position requires you to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities Perform bank and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy.Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.Manage/Supervise Accounts Payable Officer.Assist, review, and finalise monthly claims from Contract Managers.Prepare and submit accurate and timely customer invoices.Prepare and carry out fortnightly payroll.Prepare and provide monthly project Profit and Loss Reports to Contract Managers for their review and analysis.Examine and analyse monthly costs and revenue.Prepare, analyse and present monthly/annual Profit and Loss Reports to Directors, General Manager, and Senior Management.Provide EOFY (financial information handover) to the Corporate Accountant.BAS preparation and reporting.Provide Cash Flow statements monthly to Directors and General Manager.Ensure compliance with accounting and legislative requirements.Improve process, business practices, and the use of technology for productivity and efficiency.Provide assurance regarding the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.General accounts administration.Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.Minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting or related finance role.High level Microsoft office skills.MYOB Exo experience viewed favourably but not essential.Highly motivated and willing to make business improvements.High attention to detail.Experience in Road Building/Civil/Earthworks or Building companies viewed favourably.IT experience viewed favourably.The right to work and live in Australia.Commencement Date Immediate commencement.
