Your Mission
The Management Accountant will perform in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and specifically in both UK GAAP and IFRS. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters relating to daily activities and will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities.
What you'll do Responsible for daily accounting operations including banks, payables and receivablesPrepare weekly cashflow forecastsResponsible for the month-end close and ensuring it is completed on timePrepare and submit VAT returns to the local tax authorityPrepare balance sheet reconciliations in multi-currency ledgersLead monthly Balance Sheet reviews and follow up on actionable pointsAccounts receivable processing: raising sales invoices and assist with credit controlSupport local audits, both internal and externalSeek efficiencies and best practice in processesProvide support, where required, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of departmental and business goals and requirementsWhat you'll bring Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with working to tight deadlinesThe Group Accounting System is MS D365, experience with this system is preferredProficiency with MS Office – Word, Excel, OutlookStrong leadership skills as well as being proactiveExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or professional accounting designation ie ACCA, CIMAThe above list of duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that are reasonably expected within the scope and grading of the post.
