Role Purpose
The role of Major Account Casualty UW is based in Madrid and reports to the Major Account Casualty Team Leader.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting, implementing, and achieving underwriting profit goals following Chubb's business plan for Major Account Segment.
In Chubb, we ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of underwriting guidelines and controls, ensuring consistency of approach towards risk selection, pricing, and the correct use of capacity whilst recognizing market conditions.
Key Responsibilities You will underwrite new business and renewals according to underwriting guidelines, specified budget, and local business plan.Working together with the Major Account Casualty Segment Leader & Casualty Underwriting Manager, you will contribute to define and build the underwriting strategy and forecast.Ensure quality control within defined area of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting review to develop the best performers segments.Targeting and defining a visit plan to brokers.
You will have the opportunity to be a Chubb representative, reinforce Chubb's brand in the broker community and support Chubb's footprint growth in the market.Portfolio and pipeline Management.Maximize cross-selling in collaboration with other lines of business, especially with Property and Environmental lines.Stay in sync with all policies, controls, authorities, and reporting requirements.Work within the framework of Chubb service standards, meeting company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business, and compliance issues. Requirements Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Economy, or similar.Master's degree would be a plus.Spanish native or bilingual.Proficiency in English.Min 5 years of working experience in Casualty with recognized knowledge of industry procedures and practices.Used to work in a Multinational Company and knowledge of the Spanish Insurance Market.Commercially driven, client-focused, and experienced in dealing with brokers and clients.Results-driven with the ability to make own decisions within the scope of technical Underwriting guides.Understanding of how individual underwriting decisions impact business results.Advanced user of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Able to embrace Chubb values: Respect / Excellence / Customer Focus / Teamwork / Integrity.
