ARQUIMEA SPACE develops spaceflight parts and equipment for satellites and launchers . We specialize in thermal control systems, structural panels, optical payloads, avionics, release and deployment mechanisms, and rad-hard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners, we provide high-throughput smallsats and their subsystems . Our brand-new factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
MAIT management: planning, coordination, and supervision of all manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test activities, meeting cost targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
Define, control, and execute: all processes needed for the successful manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test of space systems and small satellites.
Process optimization: identify opportunities for improvement in the process and propose innovative solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Team leadership: lead and motivate the MAIT team, create a collaborative work environment with orientation towards achievement.
Coordinate: with the program manager, product assurance manager, and satellite systems engineers to meet the product expected performances in line with program planning, budget, and quality levels.
Resources management: human and material resources administration.
Required skills:
University degree and/or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly integration, and testing in space-related projects.
Desirable experience in assembly and integration of satellites up to 500 Kg mass.
Experience in industrialization of new products.
Proficient in MIL/ESCC/ECSS standards at satellite- and equipment level.
Experience performing full satellite and subsystems qualification/acceptance testing.
Experience in production automation is a plus.
Experience implementing methods and techniques to optimize the manufacturing processes.
Proficient in English and Spanish.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Open-minded and ready to be challenged in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary, multinational environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, including formal communication.
The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU and must be able to travel to the US.
