Responsibilities: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
Performs electrical work in connection with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and appliances.
Under limited supervision and in compliance with specifications, keeps manufacturing equipment in operation.
Repairs and provides preventive maintenance to all production equipment and troubleshoots facilities equipment when needed.
Responsible for correcting machine problems to minimize downtime.
Reads diagrams, sketches, blueprints, operation manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
May operate drill press, grinders, welding equipment, and other tools to make repairs.
Documents PMs and work orders in Maximo or applicable quality documents and logbooks.
Works together with outside contractors providing service to manufacturing equipment.
Installation and startup of new equipment as requested by the supervisor.
Assembles and installs any electrical apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in the manufacturing area.
Follows current compliance regulations and standards.
Supports ETHICON Production System (EPS) by identifying, evaluating, and resolving problems.
Understands and adheres to ETHICON Production System (EPS) Principles and Rules.
Performs special projects of the same responsibility as instructed by the supervisor to achieve company goals.
Qualifications: Associates Degree in Electronic Technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or related technical field and 2 years of experience in a regulated industry required.
Bachelor's degree in electronic technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or related technical field preferred.
Strong electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge and troubleshooting skills preferred.
Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read schematics is preferred.
Experience in an automated industrial environment preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
Electrician Licensed preferred.
PC literacy including MS Office and use of other software and applications preferred.
MAXIMO knowledge highly desirable.
Basic Metrology, Basic Statistics, Analytic Troubleshooting (ATS), Technical Writing, and Good Documentation Practices are required.
