.Maintenance/Engineering Manager Plant Empresa: Extruded Cans San Luis Potosi, MX, 78395 Fecha: 26 jul 2024 Primary Purpose of Position This role is responsible for establishing and implementing short and long-term plans and strategies to keep working the productive machinery, equipment and machines related with the aerosol can production. Complies with the production, spoilage, cost, procedures and projects related with the engineering areas. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment, including corrective unsafe acts/conditions, performing weekly safety inspections, and investigating accidents. Support development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of quality systems, including procedures and records related to the engineering area and spare part room. Direct and coordinate the activities of the plant engineering function in the plant and its interface with the group office. Estimate and prepare budgets related to maintenance and AFE plant projects. Define, track, supervise, and control costs for AFE projects and accomplish proposed deadlines. Maintain a future vision of the company to change, adapt, and replace equipment and machinery that meet customer and corporation expectations. Support the production team to ensure KPIs are met according to the planned schedule. Define and establish the annual preventive maintenance plan. Conduct all analysis and actions to address and correct maintenance issues. Maintain constant communication with group engineering to ensure developments affecting plant engineering are quickly and accurately transmitted and that approved or standardized methods are established. Establish a program to ensure control of M & R and spare parts inventories. Develop a detailed maintenance plan for mechanical and electrical issues related to productive equipment. Supervise the M&R of peripheral equipment required by the production department. Establish strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure the best price-quality ratio. Control and monitor the use of the spare parts room, maintaining established maximum and minimum levels according to machine usage. Provide information to the plant manager, department heads, group manufacturing engineer, and group engineering with appropriate reports in all areas. May be responsible for administration of data/computer systems and telecommunications systems of the engineering team. Supervise outside contractors. Develop and implement the LOTO program. Define the training matrix for maintenance technicians and the engineering team. Track time and cost of projects for the plant manager. Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, division, group, and company
