Role
The Mainframe Tool Manager will oversee and optimize the CA Gen environment within a large-scale legacy mainframe system for a major Swedish occupational pension fund. The role involves managing the efficient use of CA Gen, a specialized Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tool, and supporting the development and maintenance processes within this environment.
Requirements:
Extensive Experience with CA Gen: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CA Gen (formerly known as IEF, COOL, Composer, etc.) within a mainframe environment.
Mainframe Expertise: Strong background in managing and optimizing legacy mainframe systems, particularly those used in large financial institutions or similar organizations.
Tool Management Skills: Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CA Gen tools to ensure efficient operation and support within the mainframe environment.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to the CA Gen environment and associated legacy systems.
Preferred Requirements:
Team Leadership/Collaboration: Experience in working with or leading development teams within a mainframe or legacy system setting.
Knowledge of Financial Services Industry: Familiarity with the operations and regulatory requirements of large financial institutions, particularly pension funds.
Experience with Legacy System Modernization: Understanding of strategies and tools for modernizing or transitioning legacy systems, especially in financial contexts.
Low-Code Development Knowledge: Experience or understanding of low-code development platforms, particularly within legacy or mainframe environments.
