Department Overview: Our Cost Management Team at RLB proactively manages the cost of a building project, from the initial design stages through to the building's completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation once the building is up and running. Our team provides a quality approach to deliver demanding, challenging, high value, and complex projects. We are now seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors at this exciting stage of the team's expansion, establishing a leadership team to become the future market leaders in the local and European market.
Overview of Role: We are currently recruiting MEP Cost Managers and Assistant Cost Managers to join our client-focused team. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen RLB's MEP Cost Management offering while working in a supportive environment, on interesting projects while progressing your career.
The role presents an opportunity to work across principally Data Centre projects, focusing on the MEP aspects of Cost Management.
The role also offers a platform to develop and opportunities to progress while working alongside a diverse and impressive team. It involves opportunities to travel, as RLB is currently working in various European countries for various clients.
Person Specification: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline. Some Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Cost Management experience within the Data Centre sector. Good understanding of how to read Mechanical or Electrical designs, schematics, and specifications. Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery. Able to build long-term relationships. Previously employed by a consultancy, contractor, developer, or client-side organization. Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts. A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritizing workloads and delivering deadlines.
