About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated M&A specialist with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience to join our Corporate M&A team. This role will focus on identifying strategic acquisition opportunities, conducting detailed business analyses, and, if necessary, managing the execution of M&A projects from inception to close. This person will be very much focused on the scouting part of the process but will also have exposure to execution. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and have the opportunity to engage with C-level executives, contributing directly to the strategic growth of the organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Scouting and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets that align with the company's strategic objectives. Develop and maintain a pipeline of M&A opportunities, leveraging industry contacts, financial databases, and market insights. This person will be the owner of our pipeline database and will ensure that every target and interaction is properly tracked. Build relationships with potential target companies, investment bankers, and industry experts to stay informed of potential opportunities. Assess opportunities in detail, conduct preliminary due diligence and prepare detailed preliminary reports for the M&A committee. Legal documentation: Knowledge of NDAs, LOIs/NBOs to be able to prepare or review such documents together with our legal department. 2. Deal Execution: Support the end-to-end M&A deal process, including initial target assessment, financial modelling, valuation analysis, and due diligence. Prepare and present investment memos, strategic rationale, and financial analyses to senior leadership and the M&A committee. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to facilitate efficient due diligence and integration planning. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial and business development during the scouting process and corporate finance, tax, legal, and subsidiaries teams during the execution process. The aim is to ensure alignment and effective execution of M&A transactions. 4. Project Management: Manage multiple M&A projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and project deliverables are of high quality. Assist in post-transaction activities to ensure a smooth hand-over to the M&A integration team.
