ONE EUROPE: Technical Platform Lead

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING ONE EUROPE is looking for a TECHNICAL PLATFORM LEAD, based in our SPAIN, PORTUGAL, UK or POLAND office.

The following countries will be considered as locations for incorporation: Spain, Portugal, UK and Poland.
Responsibilities: Build and coordinate the implementation of our European IT Platform, developing a high standard holistic solution as per the European technology strategy, driving convergence of platforms across the region and maximizing communality and reuse across countries.Work collaboratively with Global and One Europe counterparts (European Lead Enterprise Architecture, IT leads for Business and T&O; European projects, regional cross functions - CISO, CDO, and any other relevant function) to ensure the integrity of Santander's European IT Platform and support every European project and service lifecycle on an ongoing basis.Define and build the operating model and processes engineering around the European Platform, covering its complete lifecycle and evolution (on all IT processes related: capacity planning, configuration management, software control).Establish the platform requirements of One Europe shared services as well as external providers.Coordinate with Local Platforms owners, supporting the European countries on their Platforms strategy and adoption plans, to accelerate the implementation of the IT Strategy.Ensure that the local Platforms are fully integrated with regional Platform under regionally approved reference architectures.Define and drive all the workstreams linked with the Software Transformation Program, including sourcing strategy, SLC optimization, Developer Experience, Testing strategy, etc.Identify opportunities to improve models and processes around technology, software development and platforms lifecycle, in terms of service quality, agility, efficiency and delivery to business.EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of experience in large scale technology environments.Good understanding of the competitive landscape within Global Bank / Financial Services and business models.Understanding disruptive technologies and their potential impact on the business.Proven experience in managing and influencing large scale change programmes, defining best practices in managing technology for business and working with diverse teams.Deep experience in business/client and data orientation.Promoter of change, generating trust and building effective networks to develop a high standard technology strategy.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Strategic thinking: understanding the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning.Execution excellence and results oriented: knowledge of digital technology and ability to think big and listen to Santander context, the market and customers.Leading by example: leads transparently and approachably to create a clear sense of team identity and mutual trust.Encouraging the team to prosper: Ability to continuously seek out challenges for the team to achieve extraordinary results.Adaptability and inclusion to multicultural environments and to work effectively across cultures and geographies.Highly customer-oriented attitude.Ability to take decisions and make things happen, even under uncertainty.Ability to build and drive relationships with relevant stakeholders.
