Responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt of goods, production line feeding, stock management, picking parts, physical production line moves, and all activities pertaining to warehouse management. You must be willing to take a practical hands-on approach while coordinating, administration and general management including the management of staff and warehouse coordinators.Organization ReportingHierarchical Reporting: Site Supply Chain Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all operations of warehouse(s) from goods receipt, putaway, picking, staging, delivering, line movement, logistics, and shipping.Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices warehouse vision, strategy, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Represent the company in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner.Ensure an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfill operational and customer demand.Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Alstom Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.Understand production plan and needs and ensure alignment with warehouse planning. Keep up to date and respond accordingly to all enquiries.Ensure inventory is accurate and control inventory levels by physical counts, cycle counting are conducted regularly and reconciled with SAP utilising the warehouse team.Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs, reports, process documentation, receiving logs and training and safety records. Review performance regularly with team.Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering Alstom APSYS continuous improvement initiatives.Coach, manage and develop a team of +10 warehouse staff and warehouse coordinators to optimise warehouse performance and meet target and deadlines.Communicate with your team on a regular basis to foster a culture of transparency and ensure everyone is aware of priorities and targets.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.Identify and contribute to improvement including local impact on processes and tools
