In AXA Partners, we are looking for our next Underwriter and Business Analyst to join our Underwriting team.
The Jobholder is responsible for assessing risk and calculating premiums for new business, renewals, and endorsements, while ensuring that underwriting policies and guidelines comply with AXA Partners Group UW guidelines.
This role also involves providing pricing analysis and building models to generate consistent and sound prices for new production introductions and other price-related changes.
The jobholder will work closely with finance teams, commercial account managers, commercial back-office, IT/data office, and perform periodical technical and reinsurance reports.
The position does not currently have any direct reports.
The Underwriter and Business Analyst is responsible for:
Assessing risk and pricing for new business, renewals, and endorsements, while ensuring compliance with underwriting policies and guidelines.Providing analysis for insurance pricing and building models for generating consistent and sound prices.Pricing new risks, maintaining the pricing tool, and creating and maintaining a technical database for the Underwriting team.Supporting Contract Analysis and Profitability Review and performance management of insurance schemes within the AXA Partners portfolio.Assessing outstanding claims reserves and supporting the Central Reserving team to deliver the 1st and 2nd opinion of the PSAP.Performing periodical technical and reinsurance reports and permanent internal controls reports. The jobholder works closely with Finance teams, Commercial Account Managers, Commercial back-office, IT/Data Office (data management), but does not have any direct reports at this time.
Your ProfileYou are perfect for this role if you have:
University Degree in relevant studies (Actuarial, Statistics, and Mathematics).Underwriting qualifications would be an advantage.Proven experience and a successful track record within the Assistance insurance sector.Possess 2-4 years of relevant working experience.Advanced skills in MS Excel; desirable skills include MS Access, SQL programming, BI - Power BI, database structures, data warehouse, and statistical tools such as R and SAS.Ability to analyze underwriting performance to identify issues with the data and work with Finance, IT/Data Office, and underwriting teams.Self-motivated, able to plan and prioritize workload to achieve deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with a willing, helpful, and solution-oriented approach.Fluency in Spanish, English, and French (desirable).
