As an Everest Underwriting Assistant, you will support the Underwriting department whilst working as a member of the Operations Underwriting Support team to deliver accurate risk, record keeping, and reporting.
Responsibilities Summarize slip terms and conditions, calculate premiums and exposures, and ensure complete accurate entry of submissions, quotes, risks, endorsements, and transactions to the Everest Underwriting System(s). Perform necessary data checks to ensure accuracy of underwriting data. Produce Wordings and Endorsements when requested by the Underwriter within the 5-day SLA using the relevant templates. Store all risk information and correspondence onto the document repository to ensure a complete and accurate audit trail of all substantive business activity. Ensure that all relevant underwriting information is included for the peer review and risk entry process. Maintain tools containing key underwriting information to facilitate compliance checks. Assist underwriters during the underwriting process, production of management information, business development, and marketing. Provide administrative support to underwriters and the Operations team in areas including credit control and data quality. Support Underwriting teams within other classes of business when necessary. Perform any other ad hoc tasks as defined and agreed with the Operations Coordinators and the Operations Manager. Experience Required Fluent in English and Spanish. Fluent in German or Dutch. Preferred Lines of Business experience in CE Property and UK Casualty. Skills & Abilities Logical, analytical, and resourceful. Excellent attention to detail. Confident and act with urgency. Ability to review complex information and retain knowledge. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to follow through on tasks/projects.
